Re: Choroid plexus cystsFrom: Elrod Darryl G MAJ 48 MDOS/SGOBO (Darryl.elrod@LAKENHEATH.AF.MIL)Fri Jul 29 01:51:12 2005
I guess the question becomes, do I trust my "routine" ultrasound enough to assume that this is an isolated finding? In this specific case, the triple marker is still pending, the patient was seen in the Azores (tiny island off Portugal) and the request for Level 2 was made to a base on the East Coast. So, there are some logistical hurdles to cross, but I'm not sure if we can comfortably rule out an anomaly with a screening ultrasound. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
