Patient and husband asking for AROM (which I refused) or IOL (which I also felt was not indicated). She refused terbutaline which the nurse had ssuggested/discussed with her prior to my arrival which I also do not feel is appropriate at 36+ weeks. U/A is normal, SG 1.1015, urine tox screen negative. She has tried resting, walking, and showering. I did both P.O. and IV hydration and even a trial of IV stadol without any change in the UC pattern.

Any thoughts/comments/suggestions??

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
