Yes, it is. And it is the care giver's duty to make sure she understands what she is doing. These rabid doulas are fortunately a US phenomenon, but in any case, if one wants medieval standards of care one must live with it.

BTW, as a followup to a prvious post, do doulas bond?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
