Re: pelvic and abdominal adhesionsFrom: ainsron (ainsron@sbcglobal.net)Tue Apr 19 10:56:11 2005
I would say no. Adhesions I've seen that early tend to be easily lysed and still quite soft, not dense. Ronald E. I'm doing some research into dense adhesion formation, specifically how long they take to form. Basically I need to determine if dense adhesions can form in less then 3-4 days post-op. I was wondering, from those of you have had to take back patients for repeat surgery, say secondary to bowel obstruction, have you notice significant, dense adhesions so soon post-op? The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
