OB: CT pelvimetryFrom: Garry E. Siegel, M.D. (garrys@mindspring.com)Sat Apr 9 11:34:05 2005
I remember reading a bit about CT pelvimetry combined with ultrasound near term to try to predict vagnial delivery success, especially in VBACs or suspected CPD. I've also seen a report or blurb about using ultrasound in labor to see where the head/caput is relative to the ischial spines, I think, to predict if a delivery can occur vaginaly. Anyone actually use this/hear of these in clinical practice? Garry

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
