Re: PrepsFrom: Barborza@aol.comTue Apr 5 09:09:15 2005
In a message dated 4/5/2005 1:40:02 A.M. Eastern Standard Time, ainsron@sbcglobal.net writes: One certainly wouldn't do a circumcision w/o a betadine prep or even start an IV, how did they fall out of vogue for vaginal deliveries?? I haven't done preps for years and haven't had problems. As you said, a vaginal delivery is not surgery. A circumcision is. Our docs who do vacuums for us do use preps. Barb Orza, CNM Atlanta

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
