Re: Ultrasound as part of the normal examFrom: Dr Eberhard W Lisse (el@lisse.NA)Sun Mar 13 21:20:08 2005
Whenever I admitted a patient into that residency without a vaginal Ultrasound, whether I felt it was idicated or not, my Department Head said "but, the diagnostics are not complete..." I do one for every patient who has complaints. but but not at everry visit and not for the annual/PAP. I have a machine so I do the level I scans. If I have a doubt or need a level 2 I send to the radiologists across town with the expensive machine :-)-O The Namibian Medical Aids pai according to their tariff so I charge them. I don't charge patients who have Medical Aids, since there is a (more or less) guranteed payment. el

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
