Some WOULD offer TOP as "therapy" for the mother. Practically speaking, most of the cases I've seen have resolved with a few days of waiting. When the uterus starts to contract and the WBC rises (or the temperature), then "chorioamnionitis" is the diagnosis and the STANDARD therapy for that is delivery. Then everyone is "happy" (as far as you can be in this situation) and no rules are broken (even the Pope's, if you happen to be in a Catholic institution).

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
