It seems to me that we are missing the point here – bimanuals are not solely intended to detect adnexal masses – there are some other stuff there – pelvic floor – is the uterus fixed or mobile..is there pain upon deep palpation – nodularities in the cul de sac – much more other information is gathered by a good bimanual exam .. IMHO-there is no substitute until a good “I, Robot” comes along.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
