Too many cases of people retaliating against judges in the news this week, and I forgot how many folks from Georgia frequent this list. I was actually referring to the case in which Judge Joan Lefkow's mother and husband were murdered (outside the courtroom, in her home) in Chicago, by a man who had sued his doctor and lost. Extra security in the courtroom wouldn't have prevented those murders, but perhaps keeping a frivolous lawsuit out of the courtroom in the first place would have.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
