OB: Those crazy VBACsFrom: Garry E. Siegel, M.D. (garrys@mindspring.com)Thu Mar 3 19:30:22 2005
I won't have the 100% right, but good enough for fun. 36 YO P3003, CNM patient, in the office at 41w3d for NST, which is reactive, on Wednesday. 1st delivery--LTC/S for pushing, OP. Forgot the weight--sorry. 2 VBACs afterwards--easy 8-ish pounds. Now 41w3d, 2-3 cm./70%. I happened to see this chart in the door and reviewed, and felt obligated to put in my $0.02 to the CNM and have a face to face chat witht the patient. What would you tell the patient? BTW, she said she's always late and her kids have always been OK. Garry

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
