She was upset that at cesarean she was getting a free ride on the taxpayer. When she actually had to pay for something out of her own pocket, there was no one else to "demand" from except the doctor who refused her first request. Take the example a little further and probably to the edge of ridiculousness.. Suppose I am covering for Dr. A. Dr. A has a patient with a prior CS and multiple fibroids. Dr. A's plan was a cesarean hysterectomy. I am the covering doctor when the patient comes in in labor and I disagree with the plan. If I don't do her hyst and she has one later after recovering from the cesarean, can I expect her to want me to pay for it? How about the tummy tuck? The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
