Ah-ha! No breast Cancer! In this instance you have done what you can to reduce her risk and I think she then stays off the Tamoxifen and doesn't "need" anything else. If she has further questions - I would get her to go to a Breast Cancer Center for discussion. I think changing to Evista just for breast protection would be about the same as continuing the Tamoxifen. Same ongoing clotting risks etc -- but less uterine risk. Joanne

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
