Re: Court: Man Can Sue for Distress Over Surprise Pregnancy, but Sperm Were Hers to KeepFrom: Diane Castellanos (tdrcaste@yahoo.com)Fri Feb 25 23:26:36 2005
I could have lived my whole life and would feel complete at death had I never heard of this woman's recipe for disaster....I guess I knew the recipe....it's just the style in preparing the table...so to say. The article went on to say, that he is paying child support for this child and I am certain this is the source of his surprise and distress. <dean@thehuffpeople.net> wrote: .. Court: Man Can Sue for Distress Over Surprise Pregnancy, but Sperm Were Hers to Keep The Associated Press An appeals court has ruled that a man can press a claim for emotional distress after learning a former lover had used his sperm to have a baby, but that he can't claim theft, because the sperm were hers to keep. Richard O. Phillips said Sharon Irons secretly kept semen after they had oral sex, and then used it to get pregnant. The Illinois appeals court found that there was no agreement between the parties that the plaintiff's "original deposit would be returned upon request." http://www.law.com/jsp/article.jsp?id=1109128229028 Tired of spam? The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
