hard on vt/breech twinsFrom: Henry Gregor (henrygregor@yahoo.com)Fri Feb 18 12:40:24 2005
Hard on vtx/vtx as well, since the vtx presentation of the second twin doesn't necessarily mean it will descend into the pelvis as a vtx after the first twin is delivered. Hank Stmidwife@aol.com wrote: None of the doctors that I emailed about regarding routine vaginal breech are in a teaching hospital. Most all have been in practice 20+ years. Maybe it is just that there are no breeches being done routinely in your area? That would be really hard on women trying to avoid C-sect with twins, one of them breech. I can't imagine women having no choice in this matter, at the same time I am not saying that all women are candidates for vaginal breech. It would be interesting to track the docs trained at Parkland or any other institution that does breech births, VBACs or other high risk procedures and see how long they continue performing those procedures in a private practice in a community hospital. I'm sure you would see a curve starting near 100% and quickly approaching zero over time. Ronald E. Ainsworth Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
