Re: Breech birth conferenceFrom: ainsron (ainsron@sbcglobal.net)Thu Feb 17 13:51:10 2005
Additionally, you can have conferences on breeches until the cows come home and it will never change the current state of affairs in American obstetrics regarding vaginal delivery of breech infants. The two main reasons are: 1- Residents are not being trained in breech delivery, 3 - Most of us who were trained will not place ourselves voluntarily in the position of delivering a breech vaginally and risking a suit when we can safely deliver them by cesarean section and avoid most of the risk. It is a high-risk litigation area and none of us feel like being gladiators in the trial lawyer's arena. Ronald E. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
