Mother had severe Pre-eclampsia with BP's in the 180/110's and 7 gm of proteinuria, developed visual changes and RUQ pain. Those were the precipitating factors for the delivery. After I made the uterine incision, I put my hand under the baby and lifted out baby, placenta and intact membranes in my hand. Most atraumatic delivery that I have ever done. Mother went home on Post op day 5. This is the smallest surviving baby that I have ever delivered in my 41 years of doing OB. Everyone is very optimistic that it will also be an intact survival which is the real goal. Dan R.
