High Court Declines to Hear Case on 'Choose Life' License Plates

The Supreme Court declined without comment Monday to consider whether states may offer plates with anti-abortion messages, leaving lower courts divided over whether programs in a dozen states unconstitutionally restrict dissenting views. The Court's move means that South Carolina will either have to eliminate its "Choose Life" plates or begin offering plates with abortion-rights views. That ruling is at odds with a decision by the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which allows the plates
