Re: 19mm endometrial stripe : follow upFrom: art fougner, md (evsono@pipeline.com)Mon Jan 3 07:19:32 2005
agreed *smile* ... but the ideal person to be performing a sonohysterogram would be the gynecologist entertaining the thought of an endometrial biopsy. should the fluid-enhanced sonar favor a focal lesion, then perhaps a biopsy directed by the hysteroscope might be preferable to a blind pipelle. conversely, should the endometrium appear globally thickened, a pipelle ( during the same visit) should suffice. also, a neonatal feeding tube - quite inexpensive - makes a fine catheter for sonohysterograms for most situations. it seems that the "cottage industry" of today is the cpt code of tomorrow ... and so it goes ... btw glad to hear of your successful surgery, Henry. all the best for 2005. art

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
