Awake and alert for teleradiologyFrom: Henry Gregor (henrygregor@yahoo.com)Thu Dec 9 14:37:49 2004
Interesting comment re benefit of daytime alert and awake status...if that's a critical concern, then perhaps all but absolutely compelling potentially fatal ER cases should default to a day shift ER staff, :-) ??? Apparently the primary benefit is that the emergency nighttime films are read during daylight hours on the other side of the world, when the radiologists are awake and alert. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
