i do about four a week and see erosion in 3-5% of my cases. the vast majority respond well to q day estrogen vaginal cream. i have removed two tapes this year that had eroded through the mucosa, not because of pt complaints, but because the partner was injured during sex. both remained dry after the tape was removed. i use exclusively a transobturator approach with the "caldara medical" tension free tape. cj stanley, md

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
