Not as helpful as ultrasound :-) _____ From: ob-gyn-l@obgyn.net [mailto:ob-gyn-l@obgyn.net] On Behalf Of Stmidwife@aol.com Sent: Monday, November 29, 2004 4:08 PM To: Multiple recipients of list OB-GYN-L Subject: Re: Fetoscope Helpful in confirming breech. Sue Turner, LM Ventura, CA In a message dated 11/29/04 12:56:29 PM Pacific Standard Time, ob-gyn-l@obgyn.net writes: We have a binaural fetoscope in a drawer at our clinic, and I encourage our students to learn to use it. The ability to hear FHT's with a fetoscope (or my Littmann Cardiology Stethoscope) is a skill which has come in handy more than once, as no one in the ER can ever seem to find the doppler when it is needed. One of the guys in my call group has a Pinard that he brought with him from Argentina. Anna Meenan, MD

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
