Re: TIC - US OB's beware!From: D. Ashley Hill (dahmd@cfl.rr.com)Fri Sep 24 13:10:14 2004
Agreed. Some of our fellows have set up shot in very rural areas. In the past 3 years, one of our fellows was doing a tough c/section on a morbidly obese patient with multiple other problems, and asked for a vacuum to assist with delivery of the vertex. The labor nurses had not heard of a vacuum cup, and did not have any available. That's the kind of places many family physicians migrate to after receiving advanced obstetrics training. Have a good weekend. I'm deciding whether or not to bring in the (**# patio furniture again. Damn hurricanes :) Ashley

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
