But if they go to underserved areas that a state is paying the entire bill -- for the office - paying for all the patients' care - and the malpractice - then they probably stay doing it. They probably wouldn't stay doing it in a town with Obs - because of the reasons you stae. They can't do it privately -- but in a funded program they could. Takes a special person to be able to stay under those circumstances. Joanne

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
