Thanks for your thoughts, however this is a frail 93 year old lady, and was reluctant to be taking any ERT, and I am not comfortable placing her under anesthesia risks for surgery (yes we could try it under local or spinal or epidural). Not having had the pleasure of seeing many patients with this problem, I was also concerned what would I do if she developed bleeding problems after the leFort - you really have no direct means of access and evaluation.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
