Agree with most everybody else here regarding GE. The have some great lower end machines that won't break the bank. Siemens had a mediocre product on their own, then assumed Acuson and haven't put any R&D into either. I have two GE Volusons and they are fantastic. Lynn

Lease on our Siemens Prima office ultrasound is running out. Looks like Siemens has a new entry-level machine called Siemens Adara which has replaced Prima. The Aloka SSD-3500 is a new machine that looks good, has color, and is cheaper than Siemens Adara. Phillips (formerly ATL) has the Ultramark 400C which is supposedly an updated version. We have a 4-year-old ATL Ultramark 400C at our hospital which has beautiful vaginal probe images but takes forever to power up and also a long time to switch probes.

If anyone uses the Siemens Adara or Aloka SSD-3500 would be very interested in your experience with it. Any other suggestions for a good office ultrasound?

Thanks!
