The local general surgeons seem totally unfamiliar with this. I have never operated on one. I suspect she will need an exploration of the inguinal canal to completely excise the hydrocele and probably a repair of the inguinal hernia as well. Would any of you do this yourself - or would you send to a gyn onc as they are "in this area" for other operations? The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit.
