Re: BPP vs.KCFrom: David Priver, MD (dpriver@aol.com)Mon Sep 13 20:59:12 2004
Agree with Richard, but at my place we use the Cytotec intravag. Works well and avoids a lot of the GI side effects. Sorry to hear that your hospital doesn't have the fortitude to stand up to this sort of intimidation and come down on the side of good medical practice. Isn't it sad how much of good quality obstetrics has been disposed of in this fashion? Twins, breeches, forceps and just about anything which requires skill and judgment. Do they teach residents to do anything besides CS nowadays? The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
