The ablation procedure may reduce her menorrhagia but her severe dysmenorrhea will be still a major problem because she likely has adenomyosis. These are not good candidates for ablation but are best Rx'd by LSH. The patient is right and her current gyn is wrong IMHO. J.Glenn Bradley MD

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
