Re: Pap/Mammogram Result NotificationFrom: DMECNM@aol.comThu Sep 2 13:41:43 2004

A) Yes - all patients get notified regardless of whether normal or not. Normals get a letter. Abnormals get a phone call. Do you routinely notify all patients of mammogram results? C) Only if abnormal. We follow up to make sure the patient was informed by the radiologist of the abnormal finding and suggested follow up. Do any of you utilise automated patient test result services such as TeleMed? No. Do any of you use other systems such as online services where the patient can login to a web site to check her results? No Thanks for your responses... What a ride!!!"

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
