Re: ABCNEWS.com: Are Most Hysterectomies Unnecessary?From: Charlie Chambers (cchamber@gorge.net)Sun Aug 29 16:40:31 2004
Boy, I'd really like to meet the 75% that are good candidates for the procedure. Not the patients that I have that with an 18 week size uterus that you can't tell where the myoma ends and the uterus begins. I also offer my patients all the choices. I run into much more frequently patients that are irritated about all the hurdles they have to clear because they've already made up their minds that they just want it out. ************************************************************************ **** Charlie Chambers Hood River, OR USA cchamber@alumni.rice.edu "...not because I regard fishing as being so terribly important but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant-and not nearly so much fun." The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
