Does anyone have any knowledge about which brand of liquid paps are OK? (Sorry that I'm not slick enough to put the "registered" or "trademark" thingies like the Mac users can). We've used ThinPrep, with a platic spatula and endocervial brush, supplied by our national lab (Quest). We're now using LabCorp (another lab) and they supply SurePath liquid based Pap system from TriPath (http://www.surepath.com). It is FDA approved, uses a "paint brush" which is left in the cytology fluid so they'll get more specimen. My gut says that this is fine--FDA approved, big national lab, etc. Any thoughts? Garry

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
