Re: Gyn: tough menorrhagia caseFrom: Joanne Bulley, MD (islesannie@yahoo.com)Thu Aug 12 18:10:09 2004
I did have a patient -- probabl;y in 1986 that had a hemangioma of the lower uterine segment - diagnosed by the pathologist after the hyst. She had postmenopausal bleeding. D&C attempted - but there was NO opening at all in the cervix. Then she continued to bleed and had the hyst. I do not recall if an ultrasound showed a "collection" in the lower uterus or not -- too long ago! Now I would do a small cone to find the os if Ihad one like this that I could not enter at all. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
