Re: Politics was K/E and tort reformFrom: art fougner, md (evsono@pipeline.com)Mon Aug 9 08:19:31 2004
Joanne Even Evan Thomas of Newsweek admits to a liberal bias in media ... OH, THAT LIBERAL MEDIA: The media “wants Kerry to win” and so “they’re going to portray Kerry and Edwards as being young and dynamic and optimistic” and “there’s going to be this glow about” them, Evan Thomas, the Assistant Managing Editor of Newsweek, admitted on Inside Washington over the weekend. Give him points for honesty -- but it's pretty funny to hear people dismiss complaints of media bias in the face of admissions like this. And like so many stories this spring, it makes a mockery of campaign finance reform, doesn't it? And Kerry is naming journalists as references. But they're not chummy! UPDATE: Read this, too: I voted for the war, but I'm against it! Full Evan Thomas transcript is here. http://www.wusatv9.com/insidewashington/insidewashington_article.aspx?storyid=31231 Money graf: MR. THOMAS: There's one other base here, the media. Let's talk a little media bias here. The media, I think, wants Kerry to win and I think they're going to portray Kerry and Edwards I'm talking about the establishment media, not Fox. They're going to portray Kerry and Edwards as being young and dynamic and optimistic and there's going to be this glow about them, collective glow, the two of them, that's going to be worth maybe 15 points. Honest. But will Newsweek admit it in print? posted at 06:06 PM by Glenn Reynolds http://instapundit.com/archives/016534.php As for Bush lied ... Christopher Hitchens has an interesting piece on the infamous 16 words ... http://slate.msn.com/id/2103795/ Interestingly, Ms "Roe" herself has repudiated her role in that case. personally, i doubt that Roe v Wade will be overturned ala Plessy v Ferguson ... just my opinion ... i could be wrong. art

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
