We try to do the same, i.e. let the hospital eat the deductible. Richard, absent emergent, absolutely necessary surgery, I would have also cancelled the case. If your car is in the shop, they don't give you the keys until you pay. Similary, if they don't pay before the surgery or the baby is born. . . Garry

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
