Re: new case: pyelo & oligo & A2 DM

This has not been brought up yet, but having been through spontaneous labor 3 times, I cannot IMAGINE going through an induction with the fevers and aches and overall crappy feeling that goes along with acute pyelo. If it was me, I would not let anyone come near me with cytotec, Cervidil, or pitocin until at least 2-3 days after starting antibiotics (unless of course the strip turned crappy). I would be happy to stay on continuous fetal monitoring until then.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
