If you drill one hole in the wall the sound will leak right through." - JAY BRAUN, a band member by love, a soundproofer by necessity. -----Original Message----- From: ob-gyn-l@obgyn.net [mailto:ob-gyn-l@obgyn.net] On Behalf Of Richard Chudacoff, MD Sent: Thursday, May 27, 2004 9:13 AM To: Multiple recipients of list OB-GYN-L Subject: RE: cost of "no shows" Sounds like parenting...shifting the world of education from parents to teachers; symbolic I think is the need for a radio, tape, CD or now a DVD continuously playing in a car, to distract children from asking parents to many questions or 'bothering' them. No one takes responsibility for others, for their own actions and their own progeny (children, decisions, business relationships) and then wants an attorney to settle things. I think we, as physicians, are the last of a group who can be held accountable for our actions. Why should we be accountable for others inactions? Richard Chudacoff, MD Heaven grant that the burden you carry may have as easy an exit as it had an entrance. You know what? I did vote for Gore, he did win, and I'll be damned if all those things didn't come true!" -James Carville _____ From: ob-gyn-l@obgyn.net [mailto:ob-gyn-l@obgyn.net] On Behalf Of DoctorJoe@aol.com Sent: Thursday, May 27, 2004 7:15 AM To: Multiple recipients of list OB-GYN-L Subject: Re: cost of "no shows" In a message dated 5/26/04 20:15:40, zbnewton@bellsouth.net writes: IMV, a professional relationship is ultimately based on the trust of the patient. If trust exists, the patient will show up. If trust does not exist, the partient does not show up. You pays your money and you makes your choice. But now the patient doesn't WANT to pay his money. He wants the third party to pay it, to make the choices anyway (which he gripes about if the third party won't let him), and hold the doctor responsible for any maloccurence, whether due to himself, the third party payor, or acts of God. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
