This was the first time a partner had not been treated by their MD. I'm still stunned.

Hmmm. This must be the PMD who cares for the male partners of my patients. Regardless of the woman's diagnosis, this PMD says that *his* client (and, don't get all out of breath, all these PMDs are male) has no pathology.

If I have a client who c/o partner w/ STD, I obtain cultures and treat, explaining that no culture result is 100% positive. And, despite the legalities, I give an rx for the partner, if he has not been treated.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
