Ron--

Several months ago I had an OB patient (a teenager) with both a positive chlamydia and GC culture. After treating the patient, I also told her that her partner needed to be treated. His mother took him to the primary care clinic at the local Health Dept. He had a copy of the lab reported--with her name blanked out. The health dept. insisted they had to do cultures and would only treat him if they were positive.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
