No! These are indeed "Leff" forceps which are different. Dan

These forceps are well described, of course, in Leonard E. Laufe's textbook "Obstetrical Forceps" published in 1968 by Harper & Row.

Dr Braun,

I remember when Dr Golichowski helped deliver my daughter at IU that he used a pair of Leff (?sp) forceps for a forcep OT rotation. Do you have any idea where to get such a thing? He said they were "his" forceps, but I heard another attending later from the East Coast mention them too.

I can't find them online unless I'm totally missing the name.

Thanks,

Glen

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
