GYN: Ovarian Reserve

OK, it is late and I've done a medline and looked in Speroff, but can't find an answer. My wife and child are waiting for me for dinner. . .

Can anyone comment on FSH and estradiol levels in testing ovarian reserve?

I am used to doing a day 3 or so FSH, and if it is 10 or more, that's trouble.

I have heard that a day 3 estradiol is also helpful, but can't find information on that easily, or on a "clomid challenge."

Might anyone be able to explain this and/or give a reference?

Thanks,

Garry

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
