We don't have time for Mrs. Smith to >complain to us for 10minutes that they didn't get the picture they wanted. > >Brick Bills MD >Alpharetta GA Brick: Probably the biggest motivator is not having to explain for 10 or more minutes why we don't like Fetal Foto, or why we don't do routine scans. Pasted here: I don't charge for the 32 wk scan. (this doesn't affect my bottom line because I do the scan and thus don't pay a tech or an outside contractor, and thus there is no cost). We normally do a first visit scan (i.e. 8 or whatever weeks they are) and a 20 or so week one, and bill for both. The 32 week scan you do may not cost you money, but it does cost you time. Garry

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
