Re: Version at 37wksFrom: Elrod Glen Maj 3 MDG/SGOB (Glen.Elrod@ELMENDORF.af.mil)Fri Mar 26 15:04:31 2004
This pt also happens to be an L&D nurse. It was her choice. I haven't done them with a spinal since residency when we would vert them and induce them and just leave an epidural in place. D. Version under spinal was successful. Cervix is 2-3/50%. Would you opt for delivery or send her home and hope she doesn't turn back? We've had two MFMs say they would induce and two say they wouldn't. Just interested in your opinions. >> Just a question: Why the spinal? Why not just some terbutaline and do it? I thought one of the "danger" signs in a version was pain, and with the spinal, you've taken that away. Joe P.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
