Re: Catholic Charities and Birth ControlFrom: Robert Radnich (rhradnich@hotmail.com)Wed Mar 3 07:04:59 2004
Most laws do not cover "self insured" companies and organizations - which includes most large corporations and government agencies. Big loop hole.
> ----- Original Message ----- I think you are right. What I really don't understand is how other non religious employers can exclude birth control from their coverage. I have public school teachers whose insurance does not cover birth control pills. I haven't checked, but I'll bet their administrators can get their Viagra covered! Ronald E. "Here we are dealing with an intentional, purposeful intrusion into a religious organization's expression of it religious tenets and sense of mission," Brown wrote. "The government is no accidentally or incidentally interfering with religious practice; it is doing so willfully by making a judgment about what is or is not a religion." Sounds like a thread that will reach the U.S. S. Ct. in the near future. Whadyathink? Joe P.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
