OTC medsFrom: Richard Chudacoff, MD (rchudacoff@mylinuxisp.com)Tue Jan 27 14:38:24 2004
What do y’all do when patients come and ask you for a recommendation regarding over the counter, psuedo-medicinal formulas. I tend to cite the FDA warning that the product in not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or illness, but none-the-less I am still asked for an opinion. For the records, I state I have no opinion.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
