Re: ErythropoietinFrom: Steve & Eryl Raymond (eryl@intekom.co.za)Mon Jan 26 12:42:06 2004
Answer: Nothing that I know of; it is simply the pressure from the JW committee who think that all doctors need to be advised on how to manage anaemic JWs. I have been trying to put them off the idea, but they are very persisitent and I have had to admit privately that I don't really know enough about erythropoietin therapy to know if they are telling me something that I shouldn't be ignoring. So far all the posts have confirmed to me that this is not a sensible cost effective option for her. Thanks everyone for their responses. Steve Braun, R. Daniel wrote:

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
