Re: Thoughts on managementFrom: Joanne Bulley, MD (islesannie@yahoo.com)Sun Jan 25 17:15:51 2004
After reading other responses - what about doing a hysteroscopy - to irrigate out a hematoma - especially if it is infected? ?Consent for a hyst at the same time if needed? Does she want to keep her uterus? Either becuase she wants (even if wishful thinking) to carry a child in her womb ... or just because she is one who wants to hang on the that uterus 'cause she was born with it? Also - could this be a degenerating submucous myoma? it could get infected - or as it necroses, couldn't you get temp - discharge etc looking like an infection just from the myolysis? Maybe as it liquifies, it'd "look" like blood on US? Joanne

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
