Erythropoietin

One of Jehovah's Witnesses was admitted the other day with severe menorrhagia and a Haemoglobin of 3. The cabal that surrouns her want her to have erythropoietin, and are very keen to buy it for her. As she has now stopped bleeding for a couple of days I am relaxed about her anaemia as it is asymptomatic. But, how quickly will her haemoglobin rise if I do get this for her,and how much does she need? Anyone used it and can answer me?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
