Although I agree that the risk of DIC is very low w/ IUFD, I have yet met a woman who wanted to remain pregnant for any length of time with a dead fetus.....

We recently had a 4cm (asymptomatic) rupture in a woman with prior LTCS and failed foley catheter and pitocin induction for IUFD at 36+ weeks.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
