DID U PERFORM TVT UNDER SPINAL OR EPIDURAL? DID U ASK PATIENT TO COUGH DURING OP? Failed TVT Hi Can someone help me! -- I have done a tvt on a 34 year old woman who presented with a massive cystocele and easily demonstrable stress incontinance. In fact her main complain was the large cystocele. I did not do urodynamic studies on her as she appeared to have only SI without urgency. I did an anterior as well as a posterior colporrhaphy on her and decided to do a TVT as well, to my surprise she still has marked SI two days post-op, what might be the reason? Is her SI likely to improve with time as healing takes place? Thanks Abdul Rahman consultant WH, Doha, Qatar >From: "Braun, R. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site. |
